The Agsafe program is an industry led initiative that assists agricultural and veterinary (agvet) chemical businesses to comply with government regulations, Australian Standards and Codes of Practice in Australia. Since 2003, Agsafe has delivered a set of Industry Standards for the safe storage, handling, transportation, recommendation, and sale of agvet chemicals to the retailer network.
In addition to face-to-face training courses, Agsafe offers online interactive instruction courses to train new staff on exactly what they need to know from day one in the workplace. This course provides staff, including warehouse and logistics personnel, merchandise and counter staff, managers and agronomists with the information they require to perform their tasks associated with the handling and storage of agvet chemicals in a safe and compliant manner. Agsafe also provide a suite of short online training videos (AgBytes) to assist members in keeping their professional development up-to-date.
