In 2011, the Mid America CropLife Association organisation hosted a two-day event on Mini-Bulk containers.
The purpose of the event was to provide information on the new rules from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Pesticide Programmes. Participants learnt about industry initiatives to handle unwanted tanks in an environmentally responsible manner and learn about the repack authorisation agreements.
The event included sessions on container rules and regulations, industry initiatives, updates on comprehensive audit procedures, container identification and the problems that can arise from this, and finally a session on problems and opportunities remaining.
The event was a success, with over one hundred delegates attending from 24 states.
