The Global Industry Coalition (GIC) is pleased to make the following submission of information on synthetic biology in response to the request of the Executive Secretary for “information and supporting documentation” on four topics from decision XIV/19 of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). In this submission, the GIC provides an in-depth analysis of the four topics (A – D) listed in the decision and notification SCBD/CP/DC/MA/MW/87791. This submission is supported by recent peer-reviewed publications and information from relevant sources as noted.
