Breeding Stacks (combined events products or stacked traits products) are those plant products produced through conventional breeding between plants carrying independent biotechnology-derived events. The breeding stacks therefore express the traits of the individual events.
The CropLife International Stacked Traits Project Team (STPT) works with local CropLife International teams and regulators to develop practical national laws for the regulation of breeding stacks and to address difficulties encountered during implementation of such laws. The overall objective is to enhance global understanding among regulators on the type of data package required for breeding stacks.
